About Susannah

I am a qualified counsellor in Torquay and Accredited member of the National Counselling Society. In addition to my private practice, I have experience working with adults for the NHS and with children as a school counsellor. My work is based on an integrative approach with an emphasis on Person Centred theory meaning I believe you are your own best resource. 

Integrative Counselling brings together different elements of specific theories meaning I tailor therapy to my client and not my client to the therapy. I believe that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations. Each person needs to be considered as a whole and counselling techniques must be tailored to their individual needs and personal circumstances. 

I offer a free 10 minute telephone consultation to give us a chance to discuss your needs and for you to decide whether I am the right counsellor for you. There is no obligation to book further sessions but if you decide to, then I can offer flexible appointments to fit around you.

I believe everyone should be able to have counselling if they need it and so in addition to my standard competitive fees I have a limited number of spaces that I can offer at a reduced rate to those on a very low income. Please contact me for more information.
